Interface IMTI_MachiningToolProvenance
Origin of the tool: where it came from and which version of the source it was made of. CAM uses it to tell one and the same tool from a new one: a tool whose origin is already in the project replaces that tool instead of being added next to it, and a changed stamp tells that the source has been updated.

[Guid("C14A7F1C-5416-46B3-BBBC-C55357B0E864")]
public interface IMTI_MachiningToolProvenance
Methods
SetProvenance(string, string)
Describe where the tool comes from.
Declaration
void SetProvenance(string Provenance, string Stamp)
Parameters
| Type | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| string | Provenance | Origin as "channel: value", parsed by the first ": ". Known channels are "PLMObjectID: <extension type>:<item id>" for an item of a PLM system and "ImportedFile: <path>" for a local exchange file. An empty value means the origin is unknown: such a tool is always imported as a new one. |
| string | Stamp | Version mark of the source, opaque to CAM: it is only compared for equality, so the format is up to whoever writes it. Empty means the source version is not tracked. |
